Human beings tend to attach personal meanings to physical objects based on their memories with them. These objects then take on entirely new meanings to them that no longer depend on the inherent qualities of the object. This is why we collect souvenirs or commemorate marriage with wedding rings. In this collaborative artist book, five different artists drew illustrations of objects that have significance to them. However, each artist knows only the significance of their own objects, and can only wonder about the deeper meanings of the objects on other spreads.
Below are my spreads and the editions that I personally bound using my own marbled paper.
